Jayne Grocock


Senior Consultant, Finance and Administration

Jayne is an experienced and fully qualified catering professional.  Her strengths are to be found in the areas of Finance and Administration, where she has undertaken a wide range of activities. Jayne has worked for Boyd-Thorpe Associates for 14 years.

Following completion of an OND in Hotel Catering and Institutional Operations, Jayne spent 5 years in the hotel sector before moving into the Business and Industry Sector as Finance and Administration Manager for BP International (Catering Division) where she obtained a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance (CdipAF).

As Finance and Administration Manager at BP she was responsible for the overall financial control of the catering department, including budget preparation (circa £10 million), capital expenditure proposals, financial project evaluation, the supervision and organisation of nine administration staff, budget projection and mobilisation of new catering sites and the management of competitive tendering for contracted out catering services.

In 1988 Jayne moved to Shell (UK) as Head of Catering Finance and Division’s Quality Manager.  In addition to the responsibilities held in her previous post at BP International, Jayne was responsible for the Department’s purchasing policy, provision of consultancy services to other Shell businesses, both in the UK and offshore, and the development and installation of a quality system and registration to BS5750.

At Boyd-Thorpe Associates, Jayne has acted as the lead consultant responsible for conducting tenders and strategic reviews at a number of catering operations including the national review and tendering of catering at Marks and Spencer plc., The Royal Parks and Caldicot Castle. She is responsible for all the financial audits carried out within the company at The Royal Parks, Museum of London, Museum of London Docklands, City of London Open Spaces and Transport for London.
